Diversity training is important because valuing diversity and equality of opportunity (inclusion) in all of its forms is an essential part of today’s working environment. Awareness of the challenges, opportunities, rights and responsibilities afforded by diversity and inclusion legislation is essential for both employers and employees in contemporary Britain.

This introductory half-day diversity training workshop focuses on current legislation in respect of diversity and inclusion and how staff can contribute to creating a better and more productive working environment for all.

Objectives
At the end of this training delegates will be able to:

Appreciate how the legislation impacts an organisation’s policies and procedures with respect to diversity and inclusion
Be aware of specific issues around diversity and inclusion in the workplace – particularly vicarious liability
Identify models of good practice in diversity and inclusion in employment
Recognise the power and origins of unconscious bias
Understand the powerIdentify the ways in which our personal dislikes can be manifested in unfair treatment of others and whether any of these is acceptable

Price and Format
This is a half-day diversity training workshop and organisations or delegates can choose either morning or afternoon sessions:

Morning session: 9.30am – 1.00pm
Afternoon session: 1.30pm – 5.00pm

Due to the participatory group work nature of the course, the course runs best with 8 – 12 delegates. Each course participant receives their own training notes.
